I ask about my future
I hear my mom say “you must graduate high school!”
I see problems in many countries
I want a good job


I am Dominican American
I pretend to reach my goals
I feel like I am intelligent
I touch the sun
I worry about my future
I cry for people who live on the street alone

I understand that life is not easy
I say that I will graduate
I dream of a good future
I try to pass my class
I hope that everything is ok

Me pregunto que hay de mi futuro
Escucho cuando mi mamá me dice graduate de secundaria.
Veo problemas en muchos países
Quiero un buen trabajo

Pretendo alcanzar mis metas
Me siento inteligente
Toco el sol
Me preocupo por mi futuro
Lloro por la gente que está sola en la calle
