Summer Work Experience
This summer, I had the chance to be part of a team that focused on finance.
Knowing about accounting is an essential part of knowing to become successful. Being on this team gave me a chance to learn more about how money and businesses work. I learned how to write credit and debit card transactions on spreadsheets for a restaurant. By being part of this experience I was able to learn something new.
One thing I learned was that finance is a mission-critical key of every business. Businesses need to know how to manage their money, make smart choices, and plan for the future. Before this experience, I didn’t think much about how much work actually goes into managing money for a company/business. Knowing how much money businesses have to spend, what they need to make their business grow, and the materials the business needs.
Working in this group also taught me about working as a team. There was a necessity to have good communication with each other and work together when we had to complete the given task. I learned that being responsible can mean showing up on time, listening to directions, and being ready to work with others.
Overall, my summer work experience was a good learning opportunity. I learned some basic things about finance and what it's like to work with a team. I am glad I got to be part of this group because it helped me understand more about the workplace and what I might want to do in the future.
