When I first started working on the finance team at Meta Bronx, I was given a project where I had to keep track of payments from a restaurant owner. I used Google Docs to record the payments and keep everything organized. I had to make sure I was putting the right information in the correct place so it would be easier to look back at later.
Some of the payments I worked with were for things like bread, electricity, and wine. At first I thought it was just going to be putting numbers into a document. But, I realized there was more to it because I had to pay attention and make sure everything was correct. It showed me how businesses have a lot of different expenses that they have to keep track of.
In conclusion, this project helped me learn more about how the finance side of business works. I learned that you have to be organized and pay attention to details when dealing with payments. I also got more comfortable with using google docs and working with financial information. This was a good experience because it gave me an idea of what working in a finance related job can be like.
