My first experience in SYEP
This summer, I gained hands-on experience in finance and accounting, and learning how to properly write down my expenses for the yearly tax filing.
SYEP also help me build my communication skills by separating us into different teams. Which forced us to mainly ask the others around us for help, building important problem-solving skills and communications skill to help build important connections for my future career.
The MetaBronx team gave us a chance to explore many new experiences that we would not had gotten otherwise. While working at there I made new connections like Philip and Sarah, the main people who guided me through my first experience here.
Overall, I had a great time at MetaBronx. I learned about the importance of of a spreadsheet and keeping track of your expenses, while also meeting a lot of new people here. I would do this again next summer.
