The reason why is taking to much time to get COVID-19 results
Results of the test for COVID-19
March 2020 the COVID-19 is increasing in the last few weeks In the United states and testing has taken much longer. Many of the labs are joining to help create more tests it has been difficult for them to do millions of tests for each person and the wait is long, to do the tests first a sample is taken from the patient's nose or throat using a special swab, that swab is entered into a tube and then that is sent to a laboratory where it is taken 24 hours in transit depends on how far the laboratory is from there it comes the step of RNA extraction and a combination of chemicals and putting them in an analysis machine that only the largest laboratories have automated ways to extract RNA from a sample and do it quickly and it is known if it is negative or positive for COVID-19. All university or trained laboratories are contributing to try to obtain results faster since to obtain the result of the COVID-19 test it can take up to 6 days if the necessary machines are not available to make the procedure faster, such as the the senator from Kentucky had an exposed and he was tested for coronavirus the author says “Even Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky Didn't get his positive test results for six days and has been criticized for not self-quarantining during that time ”. This shows how long it can take and how long we are exposed. The responsible would not say that there is a responsable, it has taken a long time to obtain the results of the tests of the COVID-19 because not all the laboratories are with the capacity of machines that help the process to be faster and by how far it can take the tests to the trained labs. The people who are affected are everyone who is exposed to the virus because the tests take time to prepare and that is so there is no time because the virus is spreading very fast.
This makes me feel very concerned and afraid because this is delaying the process of counting infection and knowing if we are positive and we do not know and trying to take quick action so that the virus does not get stronger. What amazes me is that there aren't many labs that are trained to get covid-19 results. What does not surprise me is that not all people have had tests because there are not enough and although laboratories want to contribute to creating tests, it takes a long time to create them and we cannot wait months because people could be dying from the cause of the virus. This crisis on the one hand is being handled as it should be because at the moment many people are staying at home, keeping their distance if they have to go out and practicing hygiene and protecting themselves. On the one hand, there is still a lot to do in this crisis, which is to disinfect the United States completely, including buildings and houses, and also to provide each person with tests to find out if they are infected and for the government to invest in necessary medical, food and refuge. They need and that the laboratories work together to find a solution as soon as possible so that everyone can come together and work as a team without rivalries or competition.
