Racism

Many people don't understand that the emancipation proclamation was only issued in 1862. This wasn't a trivial matter that was resolved hundreds of years ago. This was a matter that only started to be resolved and even after the proclamation was issued, racism and discrimination filled the streets of every city in every state. Racism still subdues in people today as they are fuel for the way Cops profiles minorities and targets them.
