The Department of Education has recently sent out a survey regarding how the 2020-2021 school year should look like based on our inputs. This survey starts off asking questions based on our school location, to then transition into health measures taken in that specific school, and how COVID-19 and social distancing will affect online learning and potential in-person meetings.
I am raising more awareness about this survey, because we have to advocate for the way remote learning and extra curricular activities are going to be balanced out for our needs and wants and how comfortable we would be with those changes. One of the questions asked in the survey revolves around how comfortable would we be if we were required to wear masked throughout the entire school day. I don't know about you, but taken into account the beneficial safety and health measures that comes out of that, its still very uncomfortable to be in those circumstances especially, for an example, in gym class where plenty of motion is going on and it may be extremely difficult to breathe (assuming we would be in the building and have gym class).
So, for any student currently attending an NYC Department of Education school, I would highly recommend you to take this survey. I have pasted the link in the 'Short description' of this post, and the link can be also found here:
