By the beginning of September, the software was 2 weeks behind the beta launch date we had initially set.
And we were still discovering just how complex the privacy and permissions management system would really become before we had a product we could show the public.
After sleeping at the office in The Bronx for 5 weeks straight in July, Oliver, the lead developer, was visiting his family in France for the first couple weeks in September, so the entire dev team was 100% dependent on Skype sessions at all hours of the day and night!
