Should States open schools at the beginning of the year?
States trying to reopen schools has been the talk of the month as the start of the school year is closing in. I personally believe they shouldn't reopen schools as it seems like too big of a hazard. Even with safety regulations in place how long will that last, how long until an outbreak occurs. It's better to be proactive than reactive in this situation. Opening schools is the worst decision any mayor can do right now. All though kids need to socialize and be together in person. Their safety should be their first priority when it comes to this. What I think should be done is to keep remote learning as the main option for students to learn this year. And as the year progresses slowly open the flood gates as COVID slowly goes away or gets dealt with.
