The function of the egypt pyramids was built for the pharaohs and their queens. Pharaohs were buried in pyramids of different shapes and sizes from before the beginning of the Old Kingdom to the end of the Middle Kingdom.he pyramid had sloping sides so that the dead pharaoh could symbolically climb to the sky and live forever.The pyramid represented the rays of the sun. The story that the structure tells us about the society that built it is that in Egypt the pyramid is important to society because it is the power of each pharaoh, as a perpetual longing and as a sample or future legacy of how tiny they were. all the other Egyptians in front of the pharaoh-god.
